Fateh Sagar Lake is Udaipur's second major lake, a quieter and more relaxed counterpart to the busier Lake Pichola.

History

The lake was originally built in 1678, then substantially rebuilt and expanded in 1889 by Maharana Fateh Singh after a flood breached the original embankment — the rebuilt lake takes its name from him.
