Chavadi is a small but historically significant building in Shirdi where Sai Baba would rest on alternate nights during his lifetime, alternating between here and Dwarkamai.
A Living Tradition
The tradition of Sai Baba's alternating nights is still honoured today through a procession (palki) that ceremonially carries his photograph and belongings from the Samadhi Mandir to Chavadi on designated nights, a practice that continues decades after his passing.
What to See
Chavadi houses some of Sai Baba's personal items and a photograph, and retains a modest, devotional atmosphere quite different from the grandeur of the main temple complex.

Chavadi is a short stop, typically visited alongside Dwarkamai and the Samadhi Mandir as part of the same walking circuit through old Shirdi.
