Tiger's Leap, also called Tiger Point, is one of Lonavala's most dramatic viewpoints — a sheer cliff edge that juts out over the valley in a shape said to resemble a tiger's leap, giving the spot its name.
The View
From the edge, the valley drops away sharply below, with sweeping views over the Sahyadri hills that are especially striking when monsoon clouds roll through at eye level, sometimes fully enveloping the viewpoint in mist.
Best Time to Visit
Early morning or sunset are the most rewarding times, with softer light over the valley — during monsoon (June-September) the cloud cover can be so thick it obscures the view entirely, which is part of the appeal for many visitors chasing the "walking in the clouds" experience.
Getting There
The viewpoint is a short drive from central Lonavala, easily combined with a visit to Bhushi Dam or Karla Caves on the same outing.
